Fans of Shamy maybe. It’s a difficult argument to sustain to say that fans of L/P would be satisfied with it.

There are fans on this very page who have said some version of, "we got our pregnancy, so I'm satisfied."

Big Bang Theory: Penny’s Finale Outfit is a Callback to Series Premiere

"Not all fans of The Big Bang Theory are happy with how Penny and Leonard's story ended. Since Penny had spent so much of the season being adamant that she didn't want a baby, her sudden 180 on the topic upon finding out she was pregnant rang false for some. Still, as mundane as seeing Penny wear the same shirt she did the day she met Leonard was, it's a thoughtful reminder of how far they've come as individuals and as a couple in the show."

So even screenrant seems to think fans were happy just getting thrown a bone with the shirt?

Satisfied with the pregnancy, probably. How Lenny has been treated, most definitely not. You can't throw a bone and expect total satisfaction. 😒

Oh, boy, a whole dollar? (btw. I only take €uros now)
Now, I can quit my paper route. 🙂

Isn't a dollar a half Euro? I wouldn't give up on that paper route just yet!!!!  😏

I think what would have satisfied people more would be  if they had eliminated the inane scene of Sheldon and Leonard rebuilding the DNA sample and instead use that time to have Penny and Leonard talk about how and when she got pregnant.  How did she feel about the pregnancy when she found out? How did Leonard feel?  These questions could have been answered in that scene when Amy and Sheldon leave and they explain when she got pregnant

We don’t live in the 2000 anymore.  😀

So true. Season 12 was a waste anyway!

I'm very satisfied with the pregnancy, as a stand alone item.  Still not happy with a lot of the past five years, nor the complete flip, by Penny, in 12.03 or the silly donation story, although Penny didn't seem or act so adamant about no kids, at the end of the second episode of that story.

they couldn't! they wrote so that we have something in the shadows, we can imagine, dream and invent ourselves! it's cool!

I like the rebuilding of the DNA model better. Lenny discussed it in different scenes and with their friends What more could they say?

I just think it deserved more attention. And by it I mean the pregnancy story. 12 years of constructed expectations  vs 1 year of a neuroscientist jumps out of their expert field to win Nobel in physics. Sure. Follow the worthy.

If the latter story interested me more I’d probably think otherwise. I don’t though. It’s arguable either way, but I know what I’d have liked. Maybe I should be grateful for what was doled out. At least it was there and the feint could have been all that happened. But being grateful for small mercies isn’t so rewarding in this context. Maybe only if Sheldon has stayed in that damn train...

Thank God he hadn't I'd have yawned my way through season 12

As usual I disagree with you! I did yawn through out season 12, especially the Sheldon parts. Although, I did like Sheldon running around like a chicken with it's head cut off in the Bill Gates episode. To me, that was one of the funniest episodes in the entire 12 years!

Too bad Leonard answered that phone call and drove to Arizona to get him.  😏

A small side note...

I was very happy that they didn't show this scene at the end of the episode.

Leonard's facial expression could have been mine. For me there is nothing disgusting in the human food chain than pickled herring.
In my childhood I had to throw up at my parents' lunch table when a bowl of herring stood in front of me. Since then I've been running away when I only notice such a thing from a distance 'cause the sour smell nauseates me till today.

So, pickled herring, you were my Beverly!? 🙂

I never ate it, it's not common here
