What would have made a great tag scene for the Halloween episode, since Penny forgets about their first real kiss, would be after everyone leaves she comes out of the the back bedroom dressed in that cat outfit, to a surprised Leonard, and tells him she didn’t forget everything that happened that night before she sits in his lap and really kisses him, then drags him off to bedroom telling him something like she wants to do what they didn’t do that night.  Now that would be a tag scene.

My biggest fear is that I simply don't care what will happen until the end.

There used to be brave heroes with good intentions.
But this is more some kind of a "ghost discussion" now.

They had Bernadette imagining other guys in bed (a very old and tired joke) so I didn't take it as "Howardette are so great!". Honestly, all the wives seem unhappy/disillusioned with their husbands. 

I think what makes it harder to accept Lenny not having kids is that it's not that they seem so very happy and fulfilled the way they are now.

I don't think that was the case in this particular episode, but in general, is it possible that they're building towards a finale similar to "The Recombination Hypothesis"? This would be one of the parts where Leonard imagines things going wrong, and then back to him seeing Penny just moving in and he decides to ask her out (well, greet her) anyway? Probably not but this thought has been in my head for some time now.

Yeah i'm getting tired of seeing Sheldon/Amy and Howard/Bernadette bed scenes yet Leonard/Penny don't get any . I mean this season already Shamy have had three and Howardette have had two. Lenny on the otherhand have had none since 10x01 that's 52 episodes since they were last shown in bed., that in my opinion is just outrageous.

When you read about the "lore" of TBBT (I'm talking early days....), you find that Johnny being offered the role of Sheldon, decided that he wanted to explore the Leonard character instead.  I've been looking for the exact quote, but something about learning about his journey in life and love.  I've been recently wondering how he feels about what has occured as far as his character is concerned.  I know he is probably glad to have played the part for 12 years, but I wonder...

Also, Kaley had never hidden her wish for Leonard and Penny to end up together.  Even at one point saying in answer to finding out the character's last name, that she hopes it would be Hofstadter.  I wonder if in her heart of hearts that she pictured their journey to take the sort of turn it has since Season 7....

Lenny are so dead boring, and no physical attraction or on the same page since forever. Glad I only ship yesteryears lenny.

They kind of implied they don't intend to do that because Newhart nailed it (one of the execs/Holland said something like that). But Recombination style is possible.

On another note, I also remember Holland saying the finale will be something that fits the characters (in TPTB's minds...) and that it won't be fan service. Now that has me worried, I mean if he feels the need to say "not fan service" then it may be..."controversial"?

Some seasons have swung more one way and some in other ways. I don't care who gets the most time as long as what's up on the screen is funny., They need to remember it's a comedy,

This last ep even Howard and Bernie got a bed scene, besides Shamy. When did you last see one for Lenny? The showrunners just aren't fixated on it and haven't been for more than they have.

It's not just season 12. For someone to say at their wedding, that he's the love of her life and that he makes her sooo happy, why doesn't she act like it? These continual jokes about him wearing her down and her settling for him is ridiculous. The first time or two was funny, non it's just plain pathetic. With these writers and "Mr Holland", I wouldn't be surprised that Lenny gets divorced in the finale. That way Penny can go back to Kurt and Leonard could be happy with Alex! Please excuse my rambling.

Well I didn't have a problem with season 11, they seemed pretty happy to me back then. Now Penny is just rolling her eyes and asking him to shut up most of the time... And I thought in the last season we'd see more memorable moments with them. They don't have to go on crazy adventures together or anything, just cute simple things out of the kitchen island and the couch a.k.a. solving problems of the other characters would be great

I agree that season 11 was better, but there were moments there as well. They weren't noticed as much due to the entire season 11 was wasted on the shamy wedding planning. I'd love to see more of the hand holding, smiling at each other Leonard kissing her on the top of the head like last episode. Just basic things that married people, as well as, people in relationships do to show their love for each other. A lot less of the wearing me down and settling for me crap! That has gotten old and outdated!

Yes this divorce crap really is getting old. If tptb do twist this up at the end and have them divorce I will definitely shoot my television and then send off 100 emails to Chuck Lorre & company to vent my frustration!
