JohnPhD Posted July 27, 2018 Posted July 27, 2018 So we have to see Shamy on honeymoon? How revolting. 2 Months to go til S12 and already all hope is gone. Maybe it's better that way. "I can take the despair. It's the hope I can't stand". But WHY have they destroyed a great show by sidelining their star actress?? I am doing that right now hahah. I have said in the past, I Don't want to deter this into critisizing Shamy. But I felt they jumped the shark a bit. When they transistioned Shamy from this alternative, quirky couple. To the almost romantic hero and herione of the series. And sidelining Leonard and Penny as bystanders. Of course culminating with Sheldon proposing. But that is just my personal views. Edited July 27, 2018 by 3ku11

'You're my heartworm, not the poodle-killing kind' isn't the sort of thing everyday couples say. Time goes on, people get older, they go through a romantic phase and get married. I hope this year we're going to see strangeness in all the couples' homes, not just references to having been to conventions. On 7/25/2018 at 12:55 PM, bfm said:  Edited July 28, 2018 by joyceraye Removing unconnected merge. Like kissing , bed scenes and eating meals together whilst having a conversation. They where all things Lenny did , but it's seems that when they had the Shamy start doing them they where taken away from Lenny. We really need the writers to sort this out and bring back the balance we used to have like season six, no couple dominated that season and that's how i'd like S12 to be. Unfortunately it already sounds like it's going to be another season of the Shamy & Friends Show, which is not what I want to see. At the moment it feels like we're gonna get two shows about Sheldon: Young Sheldon and Older Sheldon (TBBT).

For me Season 6 was by far the best from today's point of view. A highlight of the development in group dynamics, puns and interesting storylines for all characters. Since Season 8 the direction was for the first time clearly more one-sidedly directed towards the so-called cash cow and led to the climax with the rather desperate attempt of the later prequel with Young Sheldon. The result will probably be more evident in the new season than before. As a big fan of the series but a "non-shipper", with a clear tendency to discover Lenny's daily adventures, I have to come to terms with the fact that in the future I will have to explore my pain threshold further without going too far, or... Well, I'm a desperate believer of Cornfield-Penny, but sometimes I've to spit out some… Let's see.

It started with P & L's reunion on Leonard's return from the North Sea expedition. Above all, Penny and Leonard got engaged in that season. We had proper focus on Penny's career. It also includes the only time Penny said 3 words that would have improved almost every episode of every subsequent season: "Amy, get out!". To me, season 7 was around the time Penny's snarky, snide remarks toward Leonard started.

Well I like season 7 more than the last four seasons , although whilst saying that it does have some episodes that I could do without or annoyed me.

I don't know in season 8 it was boring for Lenny fans ,and there engagement was ignored until the final episode when we got that ridiculous confession. Season 9 we had Penny being snarky and mean to Leonard. In season 10 we had more snarkiness and on top of that we got quite a few arguments in the second half of the season. In season 11 it was again boring for Lenny fans as they where mostly overlooked , so it was similar to season 8 just no stupid confession this time.

Remember Anything can happen Thursday when she left Leonard with Amy and Bernadette. She took Sheldon to dinner and then the psychic? She was engaged to Leonard but failed to act like it unless it suited her needs. She seemed to care more for Sheldon's feelings than Leonard. Honestly, I was beginning to think they were headed to shenny.

That was in season 7 and was one of the episodes I was referring to that annoyed me , as Leonard hadn't done anything wrong but Penny acted like he did. And to clarify Amy & Bernadette both went to a bar to avoid Penny & Sheldon complain about there jobs. However Leonard stuck it out and listened to both! of them complain. Sounds to me like another opportunity Episode that you can correct for the writers.  😉
