Or more commonly known as a Lennyless ho-hum episode! Or an episode you can sleep through and not miss anything but Lenny at the island bar again!

I'll flip a coin. If it's heads, I'll lose and watch it. If it's tails, I'll win and miss it. Hopefully Ill find a two tailed coin.

Maybe at least they'll mention they are going out for/came back from dinner...

My statement was more general. Yes, we got Halloween which was very good IMO and I wrote it, and there was tha little bit with Penny getting turned on by Leonard denying requests, but other than that, very little... I'll take little over negative nonsense 🤷‍♀️ But isn't it sad that these are the options?

(All JMO of course)

Look I think they just exhausted their creative juice with Lenny in S6. And since then have been running on fumes. Of course the focus shifting to Shamy more. Has degraded the rest of the characters even more. But I think Lenny have relatively been pretty solid in the final season. The Halloween episode was clearly the stand out. And I enjoyed the episode with Penny being turned on by Leonard. Yes it's leftovers. But I guess are we full from the first six seasons. Or are we the fat kid who wants to order desert. When everyone else just wants to go home 😁.

Who knows if they'll even mention why Lenny is dressed up. It is sad that after 11 and a half years it comes down to those two options that you mentioned! It's absolutely ridiculous and uncalled for in my HHO.

I don't think they reference Lenny offscreen these days on purpose. Just the show is so overcrowded these days. You have 19 mins runtime a week. Combined with ads too. They clearly have struggled Over the  years. Since adding Amy and Bernadette has regulars. To accommodate everyone. It was much simpler when it was just Leonard and Penny, Sheldon, Howard, and Raj. So effectively Lenny have been minimized.

Not to mention the guests they keep rolling in!

Interesting, I agree that they, (writers) , have exhausted their abilities with Lenny. So they shifted their sights on shamy instead. But, what now? They're married now and soon will have the same problem as with Lenny!

Spinoff imy hoping personally. I think theirs still a ton of married life plots you could tell. Not exactly Everybody Loves Raymond. But around that medium.

I don't know if the writers  exhausting their creativity in the first six seasons is the reason why they write so little for Lenny now. I believe it's more simple than that they simply don't care too anymore. They have written more Shamy focused plots than they ever did for  Lenny ,so why  isn't their creativity for  Shamy exhausted.

Well theirs that too lol. Tbf a lot of shamy things have been critizing Shamys writing too. Too romantic. Not intellectual enough. More screen time does not always equal, quality or creativity imo. I guess we wouldn't know until we sat Down Steve Holland or Steve Moloro. And asked what the hell man? lol.

Totally agree. Just need writers that are in to Lenny and can write those funny married stories!

I think since both Sheldon and Amy are scientists it opens more for them. But, be that as it may, I don't recognize the original Shamy anymore. The writers and Holland seem to be trying to clone them into Lenny. Shamy was a unique couple. Now they're a everyday run of the mill couple!

That's pretty simple. You gotta feed that golden donkey right.

I still think Lenny is a very important part of a sensible balance in relation to the other characters. Most of time they are the voices of reason. Even if the writers always want to provide us with the most pointless (least funny) nonsense.

I totally agree with you. They have never created a Penny episode revolving around her birthday which is absolutely wrong.  But make a big deal about Sheldon's birthday with the 200th episode which was really lame.  BTW, I counted episode 6 for Lenny even though it was the Halloween episode as the plotline seemed to center Lenny.

Ok they made the 200th ostensibly about Sheldon's birthday, but I for one was delighted that it foregrounded Penny nearly as much as Sheldon (and Amy was kept in her proper place). The most lasting memory of this ep is The Green Dress (which some call the Blue Dress). I was really hopeful after that ep that KC was going to be restored to her proper position of leading lady, with Penny as the sole romantic heroine. But it was not to be.

Although Kaley is the most beautiful of the three, TPTB seem to want to thrust Mayim in the spotlight and IMHO she is the third best looking of the three.

The female characters' primacy is not determined by the looks of the actresses. This is not a beauty pageant.

Maybe so, but when you talk romantic heroine character, you are talking looks. On top of that, Mayim is the third best actress as well. But then that's my opinion. I'm sure there are some who will disagree. That's okay and natural. You can disagree if you like. That's life!

Well, I am with you on Penny's dress  It was the one redeeming value in this episode.

I can honestly say I hate that episode it's the worst of the 5 milestone episodes in my opinion , having a entire episode dedicated to lauding over Sheldon was just too much. Especially  since he gets the majority of the screen per episode already, doing that episode was just unnecessary, it also annoyed me Beverly was there for his birthday considering she never celebrated Leonard's ever.

Penny looked great in that green dress whilst also wearing the locket, just a shame we didn't get any Lenny alone time in the entire episode.

When it comes to milestone episodes for me they go like this:

1st- 100th The Recombination Hypothesis

2nd-250th The Tenant Disassociation

3rd-50th The Gorilla Experiment

4th-150th The Locomotive Manipulation

5th-200th The Celebration Experimentation.

Yeah. I just remember one tiny, tiny moment of Lenny. The facial expression of both was a describtion of the complete episode: "How ridiculous is all this!"

My main problem was that was one of the 4 times Penny said "When he (Sheldon) talks like that, I want to just hug him until he feels better." Then when Leonard starts to talk she tells him " You probably deserved it"!
