I woulden't like Penny taking care of him. I like that they are individuals. She is his wife, not his Mother. But that is just my perspective.

A wife is supposed to take care of her husband and a husband is supposed to take care of his wife when either are sick. It is in the marriage vows......"in sickness and in health"  What about when she took care of Sheldon who never really appreciated it.

"I feel like we are either in for a long slog before finally getting to the finale, or this was maybe one of the last “filler” episodes of the series before they really get into the final run of episodes where they finish strong. Clearly, the show is not going to have one of those amazing final seasons where they rekindle the old magic and keep it going for the whole season, but if they manage to finish the final 10 strong that would still be something great, though I am not holding my breath. I just don’t know if the writers have it in them anymore. Even in the final season they can’t seem to find anything to do with Leonard and Penny, sophomoric story-lines like “Leonard is jealous about the attention the other characters are getting” just doesn’t cut it in the final season. Give his character some depth and growth, after 12 seasons, he deserves that, same with Penny. Ah well. See you back here next week for what will hopefully be a better episode."

From my point of view I would like to add nothing, really nothing any more to this.
(Penny, don’t smirk at me.)

And episode 16, for all its guest stars, seems like another "filler" in terms of plot. It seems like the writees write mosly what they enjoy, their idols as guest starts, Sheldon achieving all his dreams, and Leonard getting his heart broken and getting stepped on once and again (while Penny is either sidelined or regresses to teen behavior). Maybe they'd forgotten they're not fanfic writers.

I can well imagine a two-part split of this episode. Girls sprouts vs nerd guys, without depth and growth or intimidated hiccups. Probably I’m not just a geek but also a dreamer. 😉

Wait so if this sperm donor plot doesn't get resolved in the upcoming episode , they are going to brush it aside AGAIN for something that sounds like a guest starred filler episode. This is getting out of hand now, as much as I loathe the  sperm donor plot it needs to dealt with sooner rather than later, but I have a nasty feeling it'll be right near then end of the season before we see the final outcome of it. Heck they might be dumb enough to use this unwanted story arc as Lenny's last plot of the season and have it only be resolved in the penultimate episode or the finale .

I agree with that assessment. As I've said many times, where's the going out with a bang we were promised?

Leonard decides not to donate in 12×15. That seems to be the end of the donation plot. If we're very "lucky" Penny may end up saying she may change her decision about kids some day. I don't allow myself to even bring up something more than that. If they surprise me, great, but they sure might upset me yet again, even with incredibly low expectations.

Well, honestly, we don't know any deeper details about this episode (apart from the promo pictures, LOL). But I share your fear that we won't see a convincing result of Lenny's development until the end of the series.

I just hope I'm not gonna screaming like this.

Yep! Who knows what the writers will think up next?

Exactly how I feel. I keep telling myself there is no hope, but sometimes they trick me still.

I mean, it's the common cold. Not really reason to do anything except take medicine and tough it out. As for Sheldon, she did that for him because of he has a mental and emotional age of an elementary schooler. With Mary in Texas, she often does fill the role of his mother. Leonard ran away from him because the expectations that someone spend their day tending to an adult with a cold was so unreasonable.

Sheldon must have taken the common cold to a extreme because Leonard, Howard and Raj all had a plan to hide from him

Yeah, but not to forget how Sheldon, thanks to his great personal growth, sought a serious apology at a later period. 😊

If you are referring to the bus to Las Vegas episode after Sheldon was sick, I don't think he was serious. He thought it was a game as he usually does in his childish way for an end game to get on the bus. Personally, I think it would have been a better episode if they left him there instead of caving in to his whim

Just kidding. Yeah, that's the episode I meant. Maybe I should have put "great personal growth" in quotation marks.  😃

Sheldon has always been a pain in the butt whenever he had a little cold!

That's because it is unreasonable. Having to take care of an inconsiderate jerk is completely unreasonable and stupid!

Yet Leonard told Professor Proton that Sheldon was loyal and they have fun together and that Sheldon was his best friend because he needed him and he needed Sheldon, didn't he?

Idk, if she was just uncomfortable she could say it, imo, it could be something much deeper this time (at least I hope so)

She could have said whatever it is but instead they have her trying to mess up the donation using her body... Oh well...

Yes, they're friends and have fun, but the need  isn't as great as he said. Plus I was talking about Sheldon being sick and having to take care of him.

Writers, what can we say?
