Thats what I said in the other Lenny thread. I think this could be a major plot line for the series final. May lead to Penny getting a big job offer. Could mean Penny is offered a job and she has to commute. And Leonard and Penny need to make a decision about it.

I can see an “is she or isn’t she pregnant” for the finale. Penny does a test in the bathroom in her apartment and is in a hurry to meet up with the others to celebrate her new job so puts in her purse, takes the elevator which is now fixed to the lobby. Just before she gets out she looks at the result.

Actually thinking about it I’d revise that a bit and have Penny take the pregnancy test at work after she finds out about her promotion. Puts it in her purse without knowing the result. Goes home, takes the elevator and looks at the test just as the doors open. She pauses in the hall outside 4b, remembering the day she first met Leonard and how far they have come. The door to 4A opens, Leonard is there watching her. While he is getting his jacket to go out to dinner to celebrate, Penny writes something on his whiteboard, but Leonard doesn’t notice. At the restaurant with all the gang together we see a shot of the apartment, the camera zooms in on the whiteboard. S.A.B.B (smart and beautiful baby).

I only watched the Beverly scene, to see Baranski in the role for the last time. I agree it was odd. I'm not sure it was really for Leonard. Yes, he may have finally heard his mother speak about fond memories in relation to him, but in the end of the day I felt it was more about disconnecting her experimenting on him from her emotionally abusing him, so that Sheldon being into babies for experiments wouldn't imply he would be a horrible parent.

I thought Beverly made him feel a bit better about his childhood. Then pulled the rug from under him with the "experiments are not over" statement!

That would be a wonderful way to end the show. But honestly i think that is asking too much from these writers. Sadly i belive the finale will revolve around Shamy. The others will get tiny feel good scenes. Well what they think are feel good scenes. But i still believe the finale will be mostly Shamy centered. I hope I'm wrong , but given how the this season and the show in previous years has gone. Has made me to pessimistic to believe i will enjoy the finale.

And given the interviews the writers had been giving all along the season, I think the closest Lenny will get to kids would be a dog/cat or a plant. The wroters really seem to like the no kids idea and not realize the various problems with it (which I am tired of repeating).

This season has not been that bad. Really solid episodes. I enjoyed the Halloween episode. And I have enjoyed the past two episodes. I doubt the finalie well be revolved around Shamy. Being the final episode they well want to wrap up all the long running storylines. I still maintain Penny well give birth in the finalie.

I agree except for the giving birth. Probably just pregnant is all we can hope for at this time!

I'm guessing that Shamy will travel to Sweden and get their Nobel prize in the finale.

That's fine we all have different opinions. For me though this is one of the three worst seasons. Maybe even the worst season of the show ever. S8 had it's issues with Lenny's engagement being ignored till the finale. In which we got that horrible revelation. Which i still believe was put in to take away flack from Sheldon during the hiatus. S10 was good until the second half when we got stupid fights between Leonard&Penny. This season though has just been crap. A few good moments won't change that. Of course in the last seven episodes things could improve. But i think that is being  way to optimistic.

Totally agree. To met this is the worst season, it got me to stop watching, I don't think there's worse than that.

I agree with you 100%, they botched up with 12×03. They would have been better off leaving the whole baby subject alone. As that episode and the pointless donation plot have accomplished nothing. Well besides annoying some of the show fans that is. 

I just think it is going to be disappointing that Leonard. Who is the most normal of the guys . Is the one who won't get to have a family. Which is to me just unfair.

We have Howard with two children even though Bernadette never wanted kids.

And we unfortunately know that Sheldon will have children also. The guy who when the show started had no interest in relationships.

But Leonard Who was shown to want a relationship and children from the pilot. Is supposed to be happy that all he gets is Penny. 

I just don't buy it, it is just a case of the writers not wanting to give Lenny a family. Which is unfair to those fans who wanted to see that happen.

The reruns in Oz are up to Season 8-9 ATM and I’ve watched quite a few and probably laughed more than I remember. For me, but I’m sure not for everyone, I find time separation from the live angst of a current season when they are screwing up Lenny allows me to get over it and enjoy episodes in a different way. I even watched the stupid boat kiss arc the other day BY CHOICE and didn’t whinge. That’s why Season 12 for me is the worst because it’s the only season this usually calm, unfussed Lenny lover has actually vented on a regular basis. The no kids thing has really p$&&ed me off big time. But time will heal and 3 years from now I’ll flick on one of the 3 channels showing reruns and I’ll watch ep 1203 without throwing a shoe at the TV!

I was of the same opinion for a long time. But I can agree with the opinion of @Itwasdestined. For example, when I saw the Season (h)8 again with a longer time interval, I had more funny details that I didn't remember from the beginning. I believe that my expectations of new episodes are (mostly) too strongly influenced and distorted by the daily and detailed investigation of my own fandom here. But the rationality of a comedy is (rightly) left out of my fictional preferences.
