Zephon75
I really hope that Leonard & Penny moving away isn't what we get for them in the finale, whilst i would like for them to get away from Sheldon, i would also like for them both to want to do it. But the bigger issue though is it will get overshadowed by whatever happens for Shamy. So will get ruined then again whatever they do for Lenny will be overshadowed by Shamy same for the rest of the gang too. Of course i still have a infinitesimal amount of hope that Penny will tell Leonard she's pregnant in their final scene, i know it is unlikely to happen but i am using it as motivation to continue watching this horrendous season till the end. Itwasdestined
It will end up like their engagement announcement- 5 seconds of happiness overshadowed by Raj announcing he had sex. Or their wedding live stream interrupted by Shamy fighting and everyone missing it. Or their decision to finally move in together as married couple hijacked by Sheldon meltdown and Penny caving to keep the big baby happy. You just know that whatever happens for Lenny it will be pushed to the background so that they have time to support Shamy. veejay
To be honest, after the last episode I finally gave up expecting something sensible or even funny about Lenny from this writers. Now I feel like a cross-country runner, who just before the finish doesn't get any further 'cause of a vomit attack. After all these years of having fun and despite declining confidence, I only crave for a cool beer garden where I can relax with friends. No more groundless assumptions and hopes. No more permanent head shaking and pointless groaning. Simply fun and joy. Sounds kinda boring, but… only five episode’s left, hooray! Yeah. The world is my oyster. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

SRAM
I would just like to see Johnny and Kaley do something again together, the great chemistry between them needs to be exploited again in another show or movie. The writers on TBBT really have done something stupid by not flushing out their characters’ story more and focusing on a one trick pony like Parsons, IMO. I’m really surprised that some ad company hasn’t picked up the both of them to do commercials, they would just be as entertaining as Marietta Hartley and James Garner were doing those Kodak commercials years ago. I have read and thought about this sentence and I can truthfully say that I can find no fault in it at all. Yes, it should be, but the sadness for me is the over use of shamy. Oh well, just a hand full of episodes remain. I think I will manage!

( Leonard gets one more visit from mommy and Penny reached her peak with the attempted poaching at the convention a few episodes back) If you watch for cute Lenny moments and tidbits, there’s still a pulse. If you’re expecting Shamy to step back from centre stage, good luck with that. If you watch the show for everyone like me, then business as usual with an occasional moan about wtf they’ve done to Lenny and why Amy has dumped her long standing celebrated career in neurobiology to become the poster girl for female physicists in Nobel land! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk You could be right but I sincerely hope they don't end Lenny story like this. In my gut Penny has to explain to Leonard and the fans why she does not want children. If they leave it the way you suggest it would be only because these a....hole writers don't know how to come up with a satisfactory explanation. Such a disgrace to end the show for Lenny in this manner. You know I would love to hear Johnny and Kaley's thoughts after the show is done on how they felt their characters were cast aside for the Sheldon/Shamy show. Don't know if they would rock the boat in that way but it sure would be interesting to hear. Johnny was hesitant on signing for the last two years until he said that the writers promised him good plotlines. Wonder how he feels now!

Flashback to the murder mystery episode of S7 when Leonard and Penny differ on who should follow the other and drop their careers spurred on by Rajs future scenario for them. The writer of the article assumes it’s just a given Lenny will finish the show moving out of Pasadena based on Leonard finding a job elsewhere. However, unlike the fanciful dream of actress superstardom Penny thought meant Leonard would drop everything to follow her around the world, Penny now has a real job she is successful at and currently enjoying and proud of. Enter finale conflict - what if Penny doesn’t want to leave her job and Leonard gets a great job interstate or overseas? WTF writers!? See Casablanca, Romeo and Juliet etc Not all great love stories end happily. But like The Roommate Transmogrification it’d be memorable. Versus the Sheldon fantasy finish. Pap. April
You guys need to stop treating bullshit sources like the Metro as gospel. They clearly know nothing and cobbled together a piece based on the trailer whereas we have a TR that actually tells us how this episode ends. I’m not following everything, or anything, at this point. But I don’t expect everything tied into a neat bow for L/P. They have always had an uphill battle - and I am not reading any hints that are suggestive of a unicorn farting rainbows style finish. However the Casablanca style of ending is more impactful. It would not be a whimpering finish. And it’d be remarkable. Maybe not everyone would be happy. But it’d be remembered. It is unlikely though. They can’t undercut the actual unicorn. One more spin on the slot machine could change everything. And even then, they can’t change what has already been broadcast. Leonard was too timid to nut out his actual hopes and dreams with Penny. Dumb. thanks for straightening us out though. Edited April 21, 2019 by Nogravitasatall d <> S
veejay
Penny's modest role in science. An illustrated prologue for a better understanding of wise women in the footsteps of Madame Curie. Cycle of science: * Knowledge * Guiding principle * Conversion * Success * Explanation * Knowledge Many ways could lead to the Nobel Prize (within a serious sitcom). Happy Easter! 🙂

Yes indeed to the bold bit. Commercials would be no use to me, they're country-specific and anyway I usually record TV shows and FF over the commercials. Also, they have more depth than that. P & L breaking up finally would be almost heartbreaking. We've had all the sweet sadness we need in their previous breakups. Casablanca was considerably less plausible than TBBT, and the pretext for separating Rick and Lisa, that the great resistance leader had to get to then-neutral (when the film was set) America, was pure BS. I'd like to see KC and JG in a film based on the B&W classics: JG in the Bogart role would be fine, I see KC as more Bacall than Beregmann. But who knows what they could do given the chance. I'm particularly displeased by the degradation of Lenny because they're the only sitcom couple I've ever been invested in. I loved Cheers and Friends without caring about Sam and Diane's or Ross and Rachel's relationships. It would be a pity if H & B broke up, but not the same level of sadness as P & L. I'd be delighted if S & A broke up, and I don't give a damn about Raj.

Leonard and Penny were presented as disparate types, totally antithetical, yet through some inexplicable “magical” connection inexorably and epically destined to be together. A fateful lock. Then Leonard was found be be too frightened to speak about his hopes. So those hopes were crushed, for him and we others. It’s not Penny’s fault. Heroic Leonard, brought down by his own feeble timidity. What a stupid plot turn. So okay, displeased describes me too. Edit: Furthermore, if they can go out memorably and not just fade away, perhaps the show is redeemable. What are the odds of that. Zip, I’d say. veejay
The time of looking back slowly begins. Although looking in my case should be taken literally. It has always been my ambition to present content as pictorial as possible. While yesterday the focus was more on the imagination, using Penny as an example, today I would like to devote myself to the phenomenon of consistency for Lenny. The fabulous evolution of The Holy Kitchen Island: * That all started with a big bang. * Usually comfy. * Good times. * You remember? * Of course! * Hard to resist. * Need to defend. * Resolute statements. * Very resistant. I hope you can agree. 🙂
