Season 12 Chit Chat Thread

am i the only one who doesn't like the actress choice for anu

 

when i think of Raj marrying a lady she is nothing like what i had pictured nor what Raj had described previously ( ok he described basically sandra bullock lol ) but still not what i had imagined i kinda liked his other " setup wife" his parents got him earlier on that pairing made more sense to me the one who was a lesbian i think she would have made a great choice for the role in season 12 had she not got the role earlier 

 

im not sure if its a new role effect where something disrupts the normal show and you instantly dislike it until you get used to it but iv tried over the last 9 episodes to adjust to her and i am finding it very hard, maybe as we get closer to the end i'll warm up to her but right now she rubs me the wrong way whenever she is on screen

I like the actress, but I feel right now the chemistry between her and Kunal is not good enough. Maybe it will get better.

I like Anu. I think the whole situation is quite plausible. His parents setting him up with a girl is just as normal to him as anyone else setting him up with a girl.  I especially liked the ep where they went to the hotel. I liked the way they shared and talked out their problems. I think it could be better, but I see potential in it. I don't  know. Maybe it's because I don't like Sandra Bullock...lol. The actress, like everyone else on the show, is doing the best with what she's been given to work with.

I really enjoyed their give and take. It is clear they are both trying and working together to make things work (a feeling that was by no means consistent for me  in the run-up to the Shamy wedding—-sorry).

I kind of like Anu.  She seems like the take charge type of woman that Raj needs.  A kick in the pants type that Raj needs once in awhile to shake him back to reality.

maybe this is what is going on for me the chemistry between them, i don't know everyone is different i guess and they have different views of the world so some may like Anu and some may not like me 

i just think its an odd choice but happy to see where it goes if it means we get new episodes and as long as its funny i am in

such a great show and we will all be poorer when its gone next year 

 

*edit* after some thinking i almost think the actress who plays Priya would have been perfect for Raj but she was cast so close to the start as his sister and had so many story lines it wouldnt happen and obviously they have chosen the actress now but at least you can kinda see where i was going with my OP

so i have to ask what kinda doughnut is that, in Australia we dont have a huge jewish community here like in the states, but weirdly enough i actually live in one of the biggest jewish enclaves in melbourne australia but again unless you go to the main suburb of elsternwick i doubt you'll find kosher foods and baked goods

Here you go:

As you see, they don't have holes in the middle. It's a fried yeast pastry. The "classic" one is the one filled with strawberry jam that has suger pouder on top (the top left ones in this picture), but over the last decades more and more different types have appeared.

I know they're awful but I like those Salerno anise cookies with the colored sugar on them. I got a box last week. They remind me of my childhood. I had an aunt that had a little neighborhood grocery store. that used to get them for us.
