Sometimes it's the police themselves who send in two or three "undercover" officers to start a riot so they can move in and break up the protest. There's a video out there of a peaceful protest. Two guys with facemasks tried to throw rocks or something and the protestors stopped them, essentially boxed them in with their backs against the wall. After a few minutes they shoved the two towards the police who took them away. When they were on the ground, you could see that they were wearing the same official police boots as the riot police. The same ones, down to the official stamp on the bottom of the shoe that said what it was.

Die Zimtzicke
I don't think Trump's latest Iran tweet was a good idea. Rouhani is not diplomatic either, but we don't need this kind of interaction. No, but every protest should designate something like a rapid response team to go active whenever other protestors see people who hide their faces because they will want to make your peaceful protest into a violent one which will give the police the chance to go in an break it up forcefully. 22 minutes ago, Die Zimtzicke said: I don't think Trump's latest Iran tweet was a good idea. I fully expect Trump to start a war, even if it's just a "minor" one, sometime in the next year or so to change the topic from his numerous scandals. It’s a heinous act that still hasn’t been remedied, from what I’m reading here. To get a sense of the anguish those mothers must feel I’m reflecting on Meryl Streep’s performance in Sophie’s Choice. It’s not completely analogous, but there are parallels. Or look at the Rabbit-Proof Fence. State sponsored acts that terrify children. THE STUCK CAPS LOCK is just a distraction. “Three card monte” is Trump’s native game. And the “creeping socialism” of tariffs and subsidies is another part of his native game too, apparently. He’s never been a free-market guy. There is another bit of his con. Edited July 25, 2018 by Nogravitasatall I’m for interventions where markets fail - interventions such as ACA. Have you heard the freakout over at Trump TV over that Democratic congressional, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, candidate from New York who is a democratic socialist and was on tour with Bernie Sanders through the midwest? Trump TV called her views "dangerous ideas". Here's a few examples what this candidate stands for that Trump TV thinks are "dangerous ideas". I highlighted the ones that to me, sounds crazy to call dangerous. Medicare for all Housing is a human right A federal jobs guarantee gun control / assault weapons ban criminal justice reform / end private prisons immigration justice / abolish ICE solidarity with Puerto Rico Mobilizing against Climate Change Clean Campaign Finance Higher Education for all Women's rights support LGBTQIA+ support seniors curb Wall Street gambling / restore Glass Steagall Fox Business tweeted out a picture of her at a rally with the caption (and yes, she said that) "We will not rest until every person in this country is paid a living wage to live a dignified life." At first I was thinking that Fox Business was endorsing her but then it occured to me that this was supposed to be a warning. I just wonder to whom, because who wouldn't want to earn a wage that would enable you to actually live instead of just scraping by? And an editor from the Daily Caller went to one of those rallies and she said, quote, "I saw something truly terrifying. I saw how easy it would be, as a parent, to accept the idea that my children deserve healthcare and education." She doesn't think her kids deserve healthcare and education? That is one bad mother... Since it's automatic and not something congress allocates, it doesn't get much attention. But that budget item will only grow larger

During the Helsinki press conference, Putin was asked if he wanted Trump to win and if he helped with that and Putin answered "Yes, I did." twice. That statement is on video. The White House has published the official transcript now and they've taken out the part where the reporter asked if Putin wanted Trump to win (they had to since Trump now tweets that Russia is going to meddle in the election to help Democrats - I guess he needs an excuse should the Democrats win control of the house). They also edited the White House videotape and cut that question out. Russia went even further. In their version, the reporter didn't ask anything. Didn't Mayim buy bullet-proof vests for the Israeli army ? Don't the cast contribute to science scholarships at a university ? Wealthy people tend to employ others to provide services and they can buy expensive goods, so money moves around. I'm trying to count the number of socialist governments I've lived under: at 4 am I think it's four. I remember when water, gas, electricity, coal, railways, national coaches, planes, steel, telephone, milk, bread and health insurance were to some extent or other nationalised industries or public corporations . Of that list only the latter service remains in government hands. People older than me can remember when the nationalisation took place. It was the folk memory that they were more efficient that stimulated the demand for de-nationalisation as the number of inefficiencies and strikes grew. There was never a question of nationalising people's own houses. That is the UK. Governments that are or were more socialist, such as China and the USSR, East Germany, Poland and others behind the iron curtain may well have owned all the housing stock : I don't recall.I can't see the USA going so far to the left that it buys up everybody's own home. I don't think the USA frowns enough on private enterprise to go socialist. We once had a socialist government that was so anti-business it literally taxed every non-government employer on the number of people he/she employed. Imagine what that did to prices.
