Surely the greatest magic society is the Magic Circle?

It must be. The Magic Caste is highly renowned but it is just one place. I daresay the magicians who are members there might also be members of the Magic Circle.

I thought it was interesting that they came up with a strong Howardette story. It made me wonder if they were thinking of them for the next spinoff.

Odd that Amy had to trek all the way over to their house to find a VCR but I suppose it helped the story flow.

It probably was Howard's mother's DVR.

Down south here, it means, I haven't got the foggest idea!

Penny, and occasionally other characters, says it quite often in the show - "you've got me there". It appears to mean that she can't support what she just said, (which was usually only said to spare someone else's feelings).

To me it means, I don't know! I guess it's a different meaning to different people and places!

Well, in the show it appears to mean "i don't know" with the extra implication that there is nothing I can say or there is no possible answer.

It doesn't mean that  there is no possible answer, just I don't know the answer!

Good point. Wouldn't Sheldon have one in his lockup?

I gave the answer as to what it means. I won't elaborate any more than that!

I'm not asking you to elaborate.

I was explaining why I wasn't sure what you meant.

Yes and she'd no doubt have one of her own wherever she'd stored the things from her own apartment. That's if there wasn't one they used for playing tapes in 4A.  Sheldon is so fond of contingencies he would make sure he had at least one to hand. I still have two or three and so do all my friends except one, who'll borrow mine. I was using mine to record  occasional TV programmes until recently, finding it more versatile and convenient than the DVR. I can understand 4B's need to keep everything down to minimum need, it's so small.

lockup?

What The Heck is that?

A lockup is a place where you can store things, or it's a small shop, or a garage - premises you use and hold a key to but don't live in. Sheldon has one where he keeps his old things including Monty.
