SRAM
I loved this episode, I still can’t believe that the writers were able to have something going on with all five couples during a single episode. I laughed a lot, the paintball part was really funny. The writers earned their pay with this episode, A+.

Chrismo
It was a pretty good episode. I think why some think it was great was comparing to other season 12 episodes. Someone on the season 12 thread mentioned the Shamy was a retread. I can’t disagree but I overlooked it simply because it made Sheldon look like an a hole. Could of used a little more Lenny. I normally am annoyed by the Leonard is lucky to have Penny bit but it fit with Stuart and Denise. Could they do something with Stuart’s hair? He looked about 80 years old. Howdette’s part was funny. I generally liked Raj’s story. Maybe it a bit too much airtime. I was actually disappointed the paintball. It needed more airtime.

I cracked up when Bernadette got the flag without Sheldon and Amy noticing, and her running across the field telling Raj and Anu to cover her was funny too, she is so small it made it all funnier. I almost choked on my drink when she asked Howard if he wanted to kiss it to make it feel better, this season seems to validate why those two have two kids. I liked the Denise and Stuart plot, Stuart having issues with Denise, like Leonard had with Penny, makes sense to me because they both thought (think?) their women are out of their league. I do agree about Stuart’s hair though. Leonard and Penny were good, I though Leonard not wanting to shoot Penny because he didn’t want to hurt her was very in character for him. There was a long build up to Raj and Anu’s fight but I think it fit and I actually hope they stay split up because I still wish Missy would show up divorced and hook up with Raj at the end, of course driving Sheldon crazy. The Sheldon and Amy plot reminds me of a sort of reversal of the Leonard and Sheldon paper, except you have now Amy getting the glory instead of Sheldon and of course Sheldon is a worse sport about it than Leonard was when Sheldon stole the glory. I really like this episode because it was on my top ten TBBT bucket list so I definitely was biased.
Die Zimtzicke
I liked it. But I like Denise so an ep where she gets to shine is fine with me. I agree that Stuart looked about 80 years old when it came to his hair color. When did he get so gray? Leonard telling him he'd let him know was a great line well delivered. I liked Howard saying that he and Bernie were in and knowing she would do it because she'd want to shoot him. Siebert is always hilarious and I loved seeing him but I could see that ending with Sheldon at the interview coming from a mile away. I hope Raj and Anu work things out. I don't want the show to end with him alone. I know tons of people can't stand her but I'm not sure what she's done to deserve that. It was a nice, fun ep but not what I expected from them when we are getting so close to the end. It was just a bit of fluff. 2 hours ago, vonmar said: It's a cast group picture from the pre-taping. bfm
I generally enjoyed this episode, although less than I thought I would, maybe because the Lenny and Lenny and Stuart scenes were so short and rushed. But I had chuckles and overall I consider this one of the better episodes of the season. The Sheldon plot (it wasn't much about Amy) did make me laugh, and Sheldon distress-ticking was a highlight, IMO. I felt Jim's performance was better and more in the right energy this time. I think they could've cut some time out of it though, as ususal the Sheldon plot gets too much time while other scenes are rushed and cut short. I liked Stuart and Denise a lot and I wish they've given a little more time to that, it felt rushed and more like a summary of a plot than an actual one. I think it was thanks to Kevin's acting that I was able to get some feelings out of these short glimpses of scenes. Raj was being his usual jerky self that he is when something about a girlfriend is not the way he wants it to be. Classic Raj. It was bad of him to spy on Anu in the first place, but he could have at least talked to her like a normal person and ask about it. I'm glad they've realized rushing into marriage is not a good idea. They may still work (that is if Anu does not have unresolved feelings for her ex) but they need time to work on it. Howard and Bernadette felt OOC to me in their scend together. I thought Bernadette was pretending to be hurt so Howard would get closer and she could revenge-shoot in from a step away. I was confused when she didn't, more so since Howard said she would want to shoot him. The quick "let's make out" felt more Lenny than Howardette to me. I feel like the writers have lost some of the distinctions between the characters, especially when it comes to couples' dynamics. Bernadette just coming in and taking the flag and then just coming in and shooting the Shamy was great. I really liked that Lenny organized an activity for the group together. I also think it shows that it's not that hard to find something they both enjoy! The writers can do it, they usually just don't want to. Here it served them so they did. Leonard was very cute in this one, IMO. Not wanting to hurt his wife and then talking about still having the fear of losing her. I wish those scens s weren't so short. Even a second more of Penny's smile after Leonard admits fearing losing her would have made the episode better for me.
bfm
Forgot to say: I HATED the joke about Penny's instagram commets. Being too skinny is not a compliment (and is indeed a mean comment to a person one doesn't know, because one doesn't know if the person's healthy or what's behind it). This was a very problematic joke, one that I would expect in the 1990s/2000s, when "Fat Monica was funny, not now.

Even a second more of Penny's smile after Leonard admits fearing losing her would have made the episode better for me. Howardette seem to have become the Sex mad couple of the show now. Has become quite prevalent since Howie had the snip. Bernie seems to be constantly hot for Howie. Lenny are just comfortably happy. I reckon the Lenny scene with Stuart was a subtle ( everything with Lenny is brief and subtle) reaction to the no kids dilemma. Penny thinks everything’s fine and Leonard’s insecurity explains the quick change of heart about Penny’s decision. I think the smile is just Kaley’s natural reaction to what she finds funny that gets left in by the producers - been happening since day 1. I did love how Lenny were the glue of the group again, organising the event ( yes they have things they enjoy together, obvious since they have spent years coming back from things to enter Shamy scenes) then getting involved in the Stunise story. I love how Penny has shipped all of her friend’s relationships and she is always looking out for Stuart. Lenny are everyone’s best friends and looking out for everyone. Would be nice if their friends could reciprocate when they need it. I liked the Rajanu story although yet again Raj oversteps the mark with his girl as he’s done with ALL of them. It needed the realisation that it was too fast. I hope it doesn’t end and he finally gets the chance to mend a relationship and get it right. Might be another job for Lenny. I used to love Shamy and Sheldon and Amy as individuals but they were the miss of the episode. Since the engagement and marriage I find them......... I actually can’t think of the word to describe. I just don’t enjoy their interactions like I used to. There are individual moments I find hilarious but their overall vibe is off for me. I also thought there was enough paintball. It was the vehicle to the couples interactions and most of them cane through the paintball. Not sure what was expected. I think we got as much paintball action as the early season episodes. ( and Howard does get a lot of sex as a result of the game!)Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

As for Shamy, I've started getting bored with them before theg got married, because there's just too much of them, for me. Anyway, a couple on this show feeling off after getting married is the rule. The writets are apparently not good at writing married childless couples (Howardette has gotten better when they started having kids, although that may be because they're side characters). Too much Sheldon acting like a baby for me. I just wish the writers will make up their minds on how to write Sheldon, grown up or baby! I was more upset with some of Howard's jokes about his mother. Those were way worse.
