A sort of meaningless episode, if this wasn’t the last season I would say it was okay and it was a filler, but this being the last season I wonder why they are not addressing more important issues in the show as it comes to the end.

"...Neither is Raj, who is uninterested when Howard complains about Neighbor Gate 2019. Sheldon isn't intrigued either, given that he "has a Nobel prize crisis to deal with" (though that Nobel goes unmentioned for the rest of the episode). All that's left is Leonard and his new laser—but by this point, Howard is more interested in seeing Bert's meteorite and I'm more interested in re-watching Friends." (J. Radloff)

We had quite a good spoilers for last two episodes but still, it makes fun to watch them "for the first time"

This one was fine, I like the way how irrelevance of Leonards new lasers was presented as well as Sheldons doubts, and I find ending of the Sheldon/Howard/Bernadette story slightly surprising!

Overall OK

I thought I'd enjoy this more than I did... I agree it was quite boring. I didn't have any laughs, just some smiles. At least it wasn't upsetting... Man, my expectations of this show had gotten so low.

The balcony plot was nice and (mildly) amusimg, until it became Sheldon's. I was enjoying the Howardette scenes, but then it just became Sheldon's plot and I got bored. Not that there was something flawed in the scenes themselves, usually I like it when they do Philosophy jokes and the resolution was a major development for Sheldon - letting go of the rules in favor of someone other than Amy? And not even his mom, Leonard or Penny? That's big. But I just felt like I've seen this so many times... It is not the writing in this case that made it boring to me, it is just the longevity of the show. And a bit the acting, I think Jim used to be more energetic and lately many times he feels less so to me, which is again I believe an effect of longevity, with him having the biggest work load on the show for so long, I don't blame him at all. I think he really made a great choice, deciding to finish with Sheldon.

The guy behind the desk was great. TBBT are great with minor characters. The Mrs. Wolowitz style co-worker felt unnecessary though.

The Leonard plot was mildly amusing as well. I think Johnny still delivers every time, but in this one the writing was just not good enough, IMO. It was a very simple plot and the jokes that came out of it weren't very funny. At least they gave voice, somewhat, to the fact that others are achieving great things and Leonard is pretty much stagnant. Oh, and Leonard really needs to make some new friends. Not saying he should break contacts with the current ones, just that it would be nice for him to have friends who, you know, actually notice him. And I wish the writers remembered Penny used to be a warmer, more caring character, not just to Sheldon.

Bert was nice, his delivery is great and this is the amount of Bert that works best IMO.

Amy was barely there.

P.S: "I also have a joke for you: Luminade", yeah, tell me again how Sheldon's not autistic.

ETA: Stuart and Denise do fit each other. Though seriously, he's the guy who's afarid to move in with her wants to procreate right then and there?

Great summary of this mediocre episode. 😊

Linda 😁 I saw that as an hommage to Mrs Wolowitz in the first place, but I also think they should have kept it for the final episode

something else, in the spoilers posted by @kenan he says: "He apologizes for the noise and asks them if they know who Sheldon Cooper is?  …. Credits appear on the screens!!!"

can it be they added the final scene with stewart and denise later?  it is a great one IMHO, but it is a bit strange ...

Yeah, it did seem a tad strange. I did like his line "Did you not learn anything from comic books"!

Wasn't crazy about the episode. My favorite parts were when Sheldon was asking how the employee with the hot flashes was doing and him trying to get into the comic bookstore at the end. I like Stuart and his girlfriend but think its odd they introduced them at the end of the series we are already allowed such little time with main characters. Thought the purple eyes were ridiculous.

The final season deserves better episodes than this.

Sheldon's part was inane and, once again, ridiculously juvenile.

These guys are techno geeks. No way do they walk out on the laser.

Big experiment with the meteor? It's still laying on the table days later. Apparently all they had done was an x-ray.

Sheldon had a Nobel crisis to deal with? When? All he did was act silly over forms.

Not a good episode when Stuart and Bert have the best lines.

Only laugh was during the preview for the next episode.

It was an okay episode but nothing special, I wouldn't out of my way to watch it again, the  Howardette plot was kind of interesting but not that entertaining. The Leonard plot if you can call it that was actually kind of sad, first, his supposed friends aren't actually paying attention to him whilst he's trying to show them something. Which they just had to have  Sheldon mention is Nobel Prize predicament :icon_frown:  i mean it's not like they will continue to bring it up from now till we find out is it.  Then he just leaves with Raj and Howard both being more interest in the meteorite then what they came to see Leonard for, so yeah he needs better friends. It also didn't help that whilst having a slight cold they squandered the opportunity for us to see Penny take care of him instead they went for the jokes which made her look uncaring. Leonard got to voice how others are getting things and he's not especially with that unwanted story arc they have to conclude. Oh and the Stuart/Denise thing was odd but amusing except for the fact that even Stuart the guy no one thought would end up with someone has someone who will be happy to have his children. That kind of came across as cruel especially to fans who wanted Lenny to have them but are apparently being denied.

All in all it was not an episode worthy for a final season, a final season that was supposed to be the greatest season ever ( Still waiting for that to happen).
