What is the worst ever episode of Big Bang Theory?

Hmm guess it's a tie between 8X24 (the boat kiss confession) or 12X03 (the no kids decision). In both episodes the writers came up with something dramatic and harsh for Lenny, very angsty, and it was out of the blue with nothing leading to it organically. In both cases the "bomb" of the episode didn't make much sense for the characters and what we've previously seen on screen. Leonard keeping that kiss a secret or 2 years without showing any sign? Please. Penny out of the blue having thoughts for some weeks about not wanting chidren and then deciding not to have kids (and breaking it to Leonard in a rather insensitive way and breaking his heart)? There was no hint of doubts about having children from her prior to this. In both cases the characters also just couldn't show the required prior signs because the writers decided that these things happened when they wrote these episoes, there were no earlier plans for this. I could go on and on but... yeah, these are my most hated episodes (but there are some others that are not much better).

For me  4x24 "Roommate Transmogrification"  which almost everyone disliked even the cast and 10x19 "Collaboration Fluctuation"  when Penny and Raj bond when he begins living with them and Leonard feels like a third wheel in his own marriage. Just was so OOC for Penny

And  the events of 4.24 made Raj being allowed to live with Lenny in 10.19 completely wrong.

I suspect we haven't seen the worst-ever episode yet. But if so it will be a Shamy-centric ep, and so must the worst so far be. I mean after the writers began trying to make S & A a romantic couple - they were funny as long as S kept A frustrated. (But having said that, my most hated single scene is Amy dressing as a schoolgirl to try to seduce innocent Sheldon - really disgusting). Hard to pick an overall anti-favourite, but the Shamy wedding 11.24 is a runner because it also introduced the ludicrous "Super Asymmetry" storyline. The only redemming feature was Penny keeping the guests in order.

I also particularly hated the ep in which Sheldon created a relationship agreement for L & P at L's request.

This is a pretty hotly-contested title, IMO.

I could not agree with you more. Also, Howard was SO MUCH funnier as a single men. After they married him all the essence of the character changed and it was/is just so boring to watch

I don't think their is one definite worst ever. More a group of them. Top 5 imo.

1. The Speckerman Reccurance; The concept of being bullied is a big theme in this show. But the underlying B Plot of Penny being a bully, and making up for it was weak.

2. The Griffin Equivalency; The peoples magazine episode, was Raj at his worst.

3. The Romance Recalibration; The whole episode was the writers trolling the audience surley. Whole episode was ridiculous. From Leonard on the couch being a messy slob. To Sheldon writing up a Relationship Agreement, that was never referenced ever again.

4. 8x24; The whole Leonard cheating on Penny, just to counter the Shamy break up. Therefore putting Leonard under a bus. Yeah

5. The Plimpton Solution: The double standard of being a nerd so its okay for them to have casual hook ups. Yet Penny is a slut because she has slept with more then ten men. Yeah. Particulary seeing Lenny just broke up. And Leonard was just looking for a quick lay.

I can find absolutely nothing wrong with your post! I feel #'s 3 and 4 were the top two worse episodes!

I think Episode which 4-24 aired on May 19, 2011 The Roomate Transmorgrification was very disappointing. Even if Raj and Penny didn't have sex I think the whole situation was very bad for Penny's character and it would have been best if they didn't let it happen.

4-24 had a very disappointing moment, but as an overall episode it wasn’t that bad. Speckerman was just terrible throughout.  The women stealing from a goodwill type donation area? That’s really low.

I also think Bernadette and Amy only went along with it to please Penny.

Yep, I thought that Raj living with Lenny was ridiculously bad. Also the episode where Penny took Sheldon's side in an argument over the roommate agreement. They eventually watched "GOT" in different apartments.

I can't agree more on this assessment. Just spot on analysis!

And Penny wasn't, when she hooked up with Dave Underhill?

No. But Penny was single. Leonard just got out of a serious relationship with Penny

Which makes him single too.

But, that doesn't change the difference in how they were portrayed.  Penny, and Dr Plimpton are implied to be sluts for looking for a quick lay,  while Leonard is for some reason celebrated for the same thing.   Or for another example,  Amy is somehow sex starved because she wants sex, but Howard is creepy for the same thing.  But, that isn't something that's specific to any one episode, most of the women have been portrayed that one at one time or another.

Previously, Penny thought it was funny, when Leonard had meaningless, one off sex, but when he had it with Dr. "slut bunny" Plimpton, she was upset.
