A very funny pointless episode- not that there’s anything wrong with pointless as it went back to the early days when they just made episodes without having to resolve long time issues and could just have fun. Shatner was used well, intereacting with the Big 3 of Sheldon, Penny and Leonard - loved the Penny/ Shatner bit. Seemed Kareem was there just for the photo with Bernadette to show the height difference as i never got why he’d be a friend of Wil ( he’s an LA Kings fan, not Lakers) , whereas Shatner’s Star Trek connection, and Kevin Smith already linked to him in previous episode with Penny (would have liked Smith to acknowledge that podcast interview) made sense and Joe was there to entice the girls to the game.

The rest of the episode was just old school BBT fun - the classic cafeteria boys stirring each other, a call back to Sheldon at Wil’s door doing his 3 knock thing, a bit of the boys working as a team, the girls having a girls episode, a bit of Penny pretending to not be interested in Leonard’s geek stuff but finding something to like but different ( he’s all Shatner and she’s all Kareem and Magic Mike), Amy a bit out of control girl without Sheldon “harshing her buzz”, all in all a good fun 20 minutes of simple comedy to enjoy before returning to the unresolved dramas.

I believe CBS has season tickets to Lakers games.  Kaley has been pictured with ex boyfriends and a husband.

They might, but I think they get floor seats more because of who they know.  Jim is good friends with the GM of the Houston Rockets and gets tickets through him....Mayim uses her UCLA connections to get good seats....etc.  Johnny recently had floor seats in NYC for a game between the NY Knicks and the Phoenix Suns.  Sometimes their agents or PR people make the arrangements.  These teams love to have celebs in the floor seats.

Warner Brothers has season floor seats at Lakers games, which they alternate between shows (how the show determines who gets the tickets, I don't know, but with 5-7 shows, and 41 games, each should would get the tickets 5-8 times a year).  My former company has one of the suites at one of the major league ballfields, that gets alternated between the different departments.  My department would get to use it two to three times a year.

True Kaley has been pictured with ex-boyfriends at Laker games but also with her father and I recall a couple of months ago she was at a LA Kings hockey game with her husband and Elisha Cuthbert whose boyfriend is in the Kings front office.  She said it was her first hockey game

I believe Kaley has been a Laker fan longer than she's been in TBBT!

Just watched this. Yeah show is on its last legs. But this episode at least the old man still has life in it yet. I thought it was a fun filler episode. Adding nothing to the overall narrative, but at this stage I Don't think that matters. Some old school TBBT storytelling here. Great to see the Guys drive the plot. And the girls were fun. Particularly in the Tag. I loved the Interaction between Shatner and Penny. "I love the stuff of your moxie". "I love your Grandpa speak". LOL. Overall decent episode.

Well, that was probably easy for them as they have a history of working together in commercials!

So glad everyone enjoyed it. Is this really the best they can do in the final season? I thought perhaps the writers had a bet that they could cobble together a new ep entirely out of poorly-recycled jokes from old episodes.

I enjoyed it mostly for the interactions of the guests!

I was rewatching the show and in this episode and I realised a few lines:

Raj says that he made a fan fic and Bernie asks if it's about a super hero who finds her voice through stand up. Raj then says that that is much better as his was just about a Jewish girl who flies.

Is it only me who thinks that it may be referencing to Mayim Bialik's book (Girling up) as on the cover she is dressed as a superhero? I think it could be as Mayim's book came out in may 2017 and this episode came out in February 2018.

Maybe, maybe not.  We'll probably never know.
