Pretty solid episode. Good too see Lenny being affectionate with each other. Their Love you was nice. I am really thrilled they are adding more layers to Penny this late in the series. Real highlight of the final season has been seeing Penny evolve into her career. I Think it may be leading to a big plot line for her. A Job offer maybe in the Penultimate episode.

Wasen't too sure about Amy experiementing on Sheldon plot. OR his response by the end of the episode. Surley she should just be honest, or she could manipulate him. That sometimes is one of her go too's.

Haven’t seen the episode but never stops me from commenting. At this point of the show really don’t care too much about her career. It’s okay they had this episode but I’d be more interested in a Lenny storyline. The show started with a hint of Lenny. It should end with something relating to Lenny. As for the Howard storyline I will reserve judgement although I’m not too excited to see a baby story. Interested in seeing  only one review of episode.

I thought it was funny how Amy was trying to imitate Bernadette. I'm very relieved that Amy was shown as using her 'for science' method to 'trick' as Raj called it, Sheldon into liking real babies. ( Die and April (IIRC) were right. ) Knowing he wanted children but disliked babies otherwise foretold five years or so of a heavy burden for her. I'm really glad it wasn't a matter of the writers' having forgotten the previous eight years and showing Amy getting him to want children at all. (Mayim thinks it was the latter, but then she doesn't watch TV.) He's still going on about fifteen.

I wasn't expecting Bernie and Penny to be quarrelling like that over Penny's job offer. I'm glad she decided to stay at Zangen. It took me a few minutes to figure (pun intended) out what Penny meant by 'a number' but I got it in the end. The joke about Leonard fearing Penny would leave him is wearing a bit thin, especially since he looked and sounded serious about it.

I didn't catch that...

What’s funny about the Penny leaving Leonard  storyline it’s actually been reversed. He was with Priya, Alex wanted him, the Mandy kiss on the boat, and the baby storyline. It seems to me Penny had more to worry about.

There is some irony in the rep from the rival drugs company making an offer to Penny and her asking that he write it on a napkin...... "like they do in the movies"........ being said by an actress earning around $1,000,000 an episode in a run of 24 over at least 6 seasons!

It wasn't a bad episode; but they do seem (to quote Sheldon) "to be lowering the quality until nobody cares"

I think the production team have a job on their hands wrapping up the storylines now, and they don't have much time left with only six episodes to go.

I think the funniest part was Penny tapping Bernadette on the head and saying "Who a Good Girl?"  lol I was almost waiting for Penny to pull out  a dog treat or a cookie.

All in All it was a fine Episode. The last few weeks with a new episodes and taping  it seem we are starting to see things coming full circle or storyline starting to be tied in.  Possible Nobel for Sheldon, Possible new job for Penny, etc,.

From WDEL Radio (Wilmington Delaware)

Local author's book gets national exposure on popular TV show

A local author's book is featured on the popular TV show, 'The Big Bang Theory.'

"Experimenting with Babies: 50 Amazing Science Projects You Can Perform on Your Kid was the book" by Shaun Gallagher, which was published in 2013 and featured on the popular CBS show on March 7, 2019.

"It's surreal, it's not something that I was expecting," said Gallagher, who lives in Wilmington. "I didn't find out that it had been written into the episode until the script was finished and they contacted me and my publisher for permission."

Gallagher is hoping the national exposure on the show will also mean more buys in the near future.

On the show they do some of the experiments on one of the characters children.

Gallagher did the same with his kids before the book's release.

"It's a lot of fun because I have kids that are that age, so I did a bunch of the experiments on my children for the babies book," said Gallagher.

He has other books for newlyweds coming out in early April and another one dealing with children coming out at this time next year. You can get the babies book at all major book sellers.

The Big Bang Theory Recap: Child’s Play

vulture.com

"After all, there are only seven episodes remaining in the series. And we know from the Young Sheldon prequel that Sheldon does become a daddy. Will the Coopers announce an impending bundle of joy in the next few episodes?  Will there be a flash-forward to end the series?"

Well this episode wasn't great but it wasn't bad either, it was just average,

I liked that we got to see Penny tell Leonard she loved him, it is always great to hear her say it. Although Leonard's insecurity about her being away was just weird.

The conference plot was disappointing would have preferred it if Penny had actually took the job , it would have shown that Penny could get a job by herself.

The other plot I didn't like the longer it went on, i felt sorry for Leonard realising his how long he had been experimented on. But it was nice to hear Beverly say that time spent experimenting on Leonard are some of her fondest memories.

Now to the part i didn't like , the whole plot with the kids was a not so subtle hint about the possibility of a Shamy pregnancy. It's bad enough that they are getting so much recognition for their super asymmetry paper. But to give them a possible pregnancy storyline would be unfair, especially since Lenny fans are being denied that. Also the showrunners said there wouldn't be another pregnancy storyline so id they do give the Shamy a pregnancy storyline. It shows that they were lying and it was only Penny that they had no intention of doing a pregnancy story. Even though Lenny fans have been wanting one for much longer.

I don’t recall Amy announcing she was pregnant. There was no pregnancy storyline or really any direct conversation about starting a family.

An opportunity to get Sheldon to see that there's more to babies than stickiness and noise before he embarks on his homo novo project is not to be sneezed at. I doubt anybody would want to be pregnant up four flights of stairs in an apartment the size of 4B. If tptb are going to give us a reason to look for a house or a bigger apartment before Shamy start 'trying' that may well be the scenario for the finale.

I laughed at the episode and loved the celebration of successful Penny - hasn’t had a lot of that over 12 years. I enjoyed Sheldon’s role in the experiment but did not like Amy’s clandestine manipulation, especially after Raj worked it out. I know that has been her thing since strawberry quik and the Star Trek nursing emotion enhancement but that was funny. To me, this was manipulative and the sly looks and tone in her voice made her look bad . Others will disagree.

I also feel they’re making Bernadette an unlikeable character but that’s been in and around for awhile. She was really nasty to Penny and she’s done it to Amy too in the past. It was more little angry lady syndrome at first but since we’ve moved to her workplace more often with Penny’s job she’s coming across as a real piece of work for me too often. I love Howardette but Bernadette is not working for me. Melissa has also lowered the tone of Bernadette’s voice over the last couple of seasons as well which has changed her original sweet little innocent Smurfette sound into a tougher nastier feel.

I liked the Leonard/Beverley bit mainly because Leonard saw it as a positive, although again it’s just another small crumb for him while Sheldon gets a feast of Nobel and baby plan promises from the writers. Liked the sweet goodbye between Lenny but am so sick of yet another “Don’t leave me, Penny” act from Leonard. It’s just stupid writing and has been for a long time.

Ending didn’t quite work either. My wife doesn’t comment much about the show but when she does, I take notice. She said she didn’t like how the episode ended.

He sure didn't. Good for Amy, steering him to that shelf in the bookshop. At the very least Howardette now have another sitter if Stuart moves out. More importantly, he's made the connection between the fifteen homo novi he wants and the reality that'll they'll start off as babies and he thinks he thought of it. Getting a man to think something is his idea : I wonder if anybody else's wife has thought of doing that ? LOL

When all the experiments are done do you think he will still be interested in the kids

He's been interested in having kids for awhile.  It's come up in multiple episodes.

I have my doubts because the only thing I've heard is that he wants 15 kids in multiples of 3. That sounds more like someone who really isn't serious
