Sheldon invites the entire school to a party for the Nobel Prize announcements. Also, Meemaw learns more about Dr. Sturgis' past, and Georgie's desire for cable TV leads to a standoff between him and George Sr.

After watching the sad ending of The Big Bang series I wish they had not Followed with such a sad Young Sheldon plot line.  Is the Shaw Wallace character  going to be phased out?  I think most viewers liked the sweet story  of Mamaw and the professor and hate to see him becoming senile.  He also serves as a friend for Sheldon.   Is Sheldon supposed to be friendless until he meets up with the Big Bang characters many years later?

It was kind of sad. I thought they had him having some kind of mental breakdown, because he lost out on a Nobel once. Seeing Sheldon start to cry because he had no friends ...then all the younger versions of the others made me cry more.

We know that Sheldon gets to have friends eventually. He does not end up alone.

Dr. Sturgis on the other hand we can't know what will come next season. I have enjoyed having Wallace Shawn on YS. It was more than I had expected. Hard to say if his breakdown is temporary.

I have to say that I enjoyed the little montage at the end where we see the younger versions of the gang.
