The owner of the comic book store in Pasadena

In Season 1, Episode 14, Leonard wants to get rid of all his collectibles after an argument with Penny. He says he’ll sell his entire lot to Larry at the comic book store.

I know of Lonely Larry, but it seems unlikely an individual would buy an entire collection, and that the deal will take place in a store.

Instead it seemed like Leonard is selling his stuff to the owner of the store. So is this the same comic book store that Stuart owned? Was the previous owner called Larry? Or did the guys frequent another comic book store in season 1?

I think he said Stuart as he was the owner of the Comic Book Store! Lonely Larry was just a customer as was Captain Sweatpants.

Disagree. Individuals usually pick and choose what they want. The set may contain items that is already owned by the individual. So why then buy the set? Whereas the shop owner will buy the set to resale them. Lonely Larry never looked like he could afford more than a few comic books. Of course that's just my humble opinion.

The store is owned by Stuart Bloom. The store's name has only appeared twice on the show on its door, and has only been mentioned out loud once in "The Comic Book Store Regeneration".

Which led to two dates with Stuart. Which caused Penny to realize she had feelings for Leonard.

Could never understand this plotline.  Why would she be interested in Stuart?  And then after the date invite Stuart in for coffee or for something else?

Honestly , i thought Stuart was quite charming , funny and confident. ( at the time)  I can see Penny thinking the same  Don't think she wanted more than a fling with him though

That is what made this plotline so strange. Did she date Stuart to make Leonard jealous or to push him to ask her out. Recall before her second date with Stuart she practically pleaded with Leonard to object and ask her out.

The reason is spelled out in the title, The Hofstadter Isotope.   Leonard mentioned it in the first episode.  

Leonard: "...I just want to know why Penny’s more interested in Stuart than me. We’re practically the same guy."

It was the idea that Penny really wanted Leonard, so going out with Stuart would be like going out with Leonard (Hence the name of the episode.  For those who don't know, an isotope is the same element, with different amounts of neutrons and protons),   I'm quite sure that if Leonard and Penny's first date had gone well (she felt inferior because of her lack of schooling) she would have invited him back for "coffee".  Remember her reaction to him once he came back from the arctic.

Yeah, that confused me as well. It seemed the writers were trying to make her more slutty in the early seasons.

I never thought of it like that. It's almost as if her dates with Stuart were sort of a dry run for her dates with Leonard. I do agree that see would have invited him in for coffee had the dated ended better. I mean they were in bed together when Beverly first visited.

It has actually appeared for the third time in "The Date Night Variable", when Raj comes in to the comic book store and has a night cap with Stuart. Stuart is folding may be t-shirts or towels and they have the comic book store's name on it briefly and seem kind of unreadable. vidmate  instagram video download

In season 7 episode 6 "The Romance Resonance"  Why was Sheldon so bothered in the hospital to see Bernadette. I know he is a germaphobe but she was in quarantine and thus could not effect anyone. Couldn't Sheldon with his 183 IQ figure this out?

I imagine his issue is with hospitals in general. I'm sure he imagines a miasma of biological death filling the corridors which he will be unable to avoid.

Of course, this is also more selective writing on TBBT. Sheldon had no hospital issues while accompanying Leonard and Stephanie when she sutured Leonard's cut hand. He tracked down Stephanie in the hospital seeking her authorization for a battery of tests. He is likewise fine visiting the hospital hoping to get a haircut from his comatose barber. His presence in the ER with Penny resulted in one of the greatest TBBT scenes. All of Sheldon's quirks were dependent on the writer's whims.

It’s called the rule of funny, and generally applies to all sitcoms( there are exceptions).  If the writers think something is funny, consistent characterization be damned, write the joke.  You can see it a lot in Sheldon when it comes to his eidetic memory.

In that episode, Leonard intends to sell his collectibles after a disagreement with Penny. However, there's no mention of a character named Larry owning the store. Stuart Bloom is the store's owner in the series.

Leonard was referring to a customer in the store named Lonely Larry
