Tensor Posted November 19, 2021 Posted November 19, 2021 She may be overdressed. Iceland, even in the winter, isn't as cold as people make it out to be. I played softball there, a midnight tee off golf tournament there and spend New Year's Eve in 1985, outside, at the Blue Lagoon. I loved Iceland. Never been to Iceland specifically, but was on the Artic Ocean on a Navy Frigate and it was colder than anywhere else I've been. Even got my Blue Nose Certificate there, Of course you have to get it there because you have to cross the Artic Circle and participate in the initiation ceremony. I believe that was worse than the Shellback initiation ceremony.
Tensor Posted November 19, 2021 Posted November 19, 2021 Interestingly, I was in the Air Force, but Keflavik is a Naval Air Station (the F-15s were at the west end of the base, away from the main flight line). The wait for housing was 10-11 months. So, many of the Air Force People were up there for a year, unaccompanied. Most other overseas bases required 18 months unaccompanied. Those who had been there had a very good opinion of the place. Many would volunteer to go back. I did, I was up there twice, 85-86 and 89-90. It was different for the Navy people. They would wait for housing and be there for a whole tour and a lot of times, extend for two years. They could have their families there and it still counted as sea duty. So, one tour, with an extension would get them five years of sea duty, with their families. And there were three times weekly tanker flights ( from Kef, to Lakenheath in the UK) so catching a hop to Europe was easy. We didn't have those initiations in the Air Force, although I have been above the Arctic Circle and in the southern hemisphere. They were very interesting indeed, especially the Shellback initiation. The Royal entourage always visited the proceedings. They included King Neptune, Davey Jones, the Royal Barber, the Royal Baby and the Royal Dentist. The Shellback ceremony was for crossing the Equator and Blue Nose was for crossing the Artic Circle. I've crossed the Artic Circle once and the Equator too many times.

The nature is completely different to the other nordic countries because of all the volcanic activity. I´m guessing they will be done with the shoot right before the holidays. Based on their previous international shooting times (Berlin, Thailand, Rome) it should around two weeks, give or take a bit, for things going well or problems . Funny thing, , she mentions how awesome the light is. This time of year, there is only about 4 - 4.5 hours of light. So, if they are shooting daytime scenes it might take longer. Tensor Posted December 8, 2021 Posted December 8, 2021 I would think they would be finished. They got there last last week, this week and part of next for shooting would have them home by the weekend of the 18-19, would be my guess. Sue McCormack ("Go.for.Sue" on instagram) the Senior Vice President for development at Yes, Norman productions did a humorous IG post. She posted a picture of the temperature in Reykjavik and LA, both were at 45 F. She told LA to get it's shit together, cause she'll be home Sunday, the 19th. Good to hear that they'll be home for Christmas. Probably be a bittersweet Christmas without Karl. She'll probably spend Christmas with mom, dad and sister. Then be with her friends. vonmar Posted January 2, 2022 Posted January 2, 2022 From Variety THE TOP 20 MOST ANTICIPATED STREAMING TITLES OF 2022 The Flight Attendant S2 (TBD 2022) S1 of “The Flight Attendant” was one of the surprise original TV successes of HBO Max in 2021 — the comedy series starring Kaley Cuoco has a 97% critic score on Rotten Tomatoes and was one of the top 10 most-viewed HBO Max series among TVision panel members in H1 2021, for example. This suggests that there is a fan base waiting for the second season of “The Flight Attendant,” which may also help HBO Max/WarnerMedia in the awards race. S1 of the series earned nine Emmy nominations (and nabbed one win) earlier in 2021. <full article in the link>

vonmar Posted March 17, 2022 Posted March 17, 2022 From TV Line The Flight Attendant Sets April Release Date for Season 2 Season 2 of Kaley Cuoco’s HBO Max caper is set to premiere Thursday, April 21, EW.com reports. Two episodes will drop on premiere day, followed by one episode per week through its May 26 finale. Season 2 of The Flight Attendant will find Cuoco’s Cassie “living her best sober life in Los Angeles while moonlighting as a CIA asset in her spare time,” according to the official logline. “But when an overseas assignment leads her to inadvertently witness a murder, she becomes entangled in another international intrigue.” As previously reported, Sharon Stone is set to recur on the HBO Max dramedy as Cassie’s estranged mother Lisa. After a lifetime of dealing with Cassie’s alcoholism (and seeing their mother/daughter relationship damaged by it), “Lisa no longer has any patience or goodwill to spare,” per the official character breakdown. <full article in the link>

Tensor Posted March 19, 2022 Posted March 19, 2022 I was watching the NCAA Basketball Tournament tonight and saw something interesting, so I did some checking after the game (Go Badgers). In addition to the second season of TFA premiering on 21 April on HBO Max, the entire first season of TFA will premiere on TBS, starting with two episodes on 27 March. In November of 2020, TBS broadcast only the first episode on Sunday, three days after it premiered on HBO Max on Thanksgiving Thursday. This is going to be the entire first season being broadcast, just before it premieres on HBO Max. My guess is to get people who are not customers of HBO Max, to sign up to see the second season. I would also guess that there will be some cuts, re-recording of some audio, to make it safe for broadcast, although it is a cable channel. It will also be done with limited commercial interruptions. For the producers (and a little bit for the actors), this is a chance to earn some extra money, without having to do anything. Yes I have seen the commercial for the TBS showing and I intend to stay in front of my tv for a long period of time. ( I also have HBOMAX) Will probably have to see an eye doctor when all this is done!
