Sheldon's term for having sex

Is it actually Sheldon's word? I remember Howard using it early in season 1

I noticed that too, in the Pilot it was Howard who called it 'coitus' while Sheldon just used the word 'sex'. But I like it more this way, Sheldon should be the one using the scientific term.

The scientific one.

Not at the beginning he didn't.

From the pilot episode:-

Sheldon: So, what exactly are you trying to accomplish here?

Leonard: Excuse me?

Sheldon: That woman in there’s not going to have sex with you.

Leonard: Well I’m not trying to have sex with her.

Sheldon: Oh, good. Then you won’t be disappointed.

About the same as his triple knocking. He didn't do that in the first episodes either.

He also used the term 'intercourse tonight' when Amy was out on a date with Stuart. On his honeymoon I seem to recall he once mentioned 'making love' or 'lovemaking'.

Coitus was his word of choice, but as you said, he did use other words at times as well.
