CharmedOne Posted October 16, 2007 Posted October 16, 2007 Thanks. It was another great episode. Sheldon is such a funny character and his mother, with her references to religion and all, hillarious. When she was telling Koothrappali and Wolowitz that they don't have to join in with prayer, I laughed so hard!
CharmedOne Posted October 16, 2007 Posted October 16, 2007 Very helpful I hope the show stabalizes in the ratings. If not we might not see much more of it
Bigbang2 Posted October 16, 2007 Posted October 16, 2007 Here is the CBS take on the ratings : THE BIG BANG THEORY (5.4/08, 8.15m) was tied for second in adults 25-54 (3.7/09, with NBC) and built on its HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER lead-in by +4% in households, +6% in adults 25-54, +3% in adults 18-49 and added +190,000 viewers. Tripper Posted October 17, 2007 Posted October 17, 2007 We've added final ratings to the site and they're not great, it was on a par with How I Met Your Mother although it managed to build on it in some demographics.
CharmedOne Posted October 17, 2007 Posted October 17, 2007 Thats terrible, I really don't want to see the show go but if the ratings keep dropping then its definitely going to be canceled.
Anne Posted October 18, 2007 Posted October 18, 2007 Very helpful I hope the show stabalizes in the ratings. If not we might not see much more of it Hi! I'm new here. I just wanted to say that I would be heart broken if The Big Bang Theory doesn't make it. It's one of the brightest shows out there and I love the entire cast. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it makes it!

Tom Posted October 19, 2007 Posted October 19, 2007 Picked up for the rest of the season, no worries!! :D
CharmedOne Posted October 22, 2007 Posted October 22, 2007 Yes, great news ... now lets hope the writers strike doesn't hurt the show too much, so many worries.
Anne Posted October 23, 2007 Posted October 23, 2007 Yes, great news ... now lets hope the writers strike doesn't hurt the show too much, so many worries. Well cr*p, didn't know there was a writer's strike happening! But I'm so happy about the news of CBS picking up the rest of the season on TBBT, that I could cry. (well, almost, LOL) So many good shows have gone into the waste basket because TPTB are in too big of a hurry to make them 'hits'. Just thankful this hasn't happened with TBBT. CharmedOne Posted October 23, 2007 Posted October 23, 2007 Yes, a writers strike looks almost certain ... it will probably mean that December and January are plagued with more repeats than usual, as the few episodes they will have will be crammed into Sweeps. Convict13 Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 I just re watched this episode and at the very end when Mrs Cooper leaves Sheldon's bedroom, she heads towards Leonard's. There isn't a third bedroom is there? Where was she sleeping?
netmouse Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 @Convict13: brilliantly spotted !! I'd never noticed that before. I guess it's similar to some episodes where Penny and Leonard would occasionally exit and enter the laundry room from the other side of the door, which theoretically places them walking into a brick wall. One of those writing inconsistencies that the show seems to reak of on occasion. I believe there are more of these discussed in the episode anomolies thread. 10/10 for your Vulcan eyesight
Selz Posted March 19, 2012 Posted March 19, 2012 Fantastic episode. Mary Cooper steals the scene every damn time! "Sheldon's father, God rest his soul, always used to tell me, "Mary, you got to take your time with Sheldon."
BazingaFan Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 I feel this is the episode when the sheldon character really begins to come to life.
