Do you think 'everyone' will include Penny? If so, who would have invited her? Leonard?

Please don't have Penny sleep with Leonard. Please don't have Penny sleep with Leonard. *mantra on repeat*

'Cause Lord knows there will be a mini bar and those two (Penny and Leonard) need to drink in order to have sex...

Hi ,

pals , i really wonder , is there any hope for (Leonard and Penny) getting back together until the end of Season 4 ?

what do you think ?

It's obvious that they are going to do that at some point as they are hinting at it all the time. How long they wish to drag it out for is anyone's guess though.

Obviously, the only episode you watched of Season 3 was the finale, because they had plenty of sex during the 3rd season where they weren't drunk or no alcohol was involved.

Obviously you're rude and lack a sense of humour.

Lord only knows how long the on again off again whirlwind 'romance' will drag on for. As for the episode in question, they probably won't have sex but will come close to it, sharing a bed, etc. Joy of all joys.

Please let Raj or Sheldon mess it up! ^_~

Meh looks like an Amy-heavy episode, and as Bernadette has already been mentioned to be a focal point...

God damn it, why is this show about dating and relationships now, just like every other mediocre sit-com!? BORING!

The show has always been about dating and relationships or the lack their of. The thing that makes the show so good is that these geniuses are socially inept and are, like most normal people (except Sheldon) are looking for love. So without that component the show would be nothing but geeks talking about comic books and science fiction movies. That would get boring after a while.

I know I have said it again and again, and I will say it once more I don't think there is really chemistry between Penny and Leonard as a couple and I think the show is funnier when they're apart and Leonard is longing for what he cannot have.

...Will you marry me?

It's a part of the show but I don't think that it should be a focal point and I'm not sure that agree that the show has ever been ABOUT relationships up until late season 2 anyway; about the boys and their issues with women and desires maybe. My main beef is when the whole episode focuses on Bernadette and Howard, Penny and Leonard, Sheldon and Amy and each couple's issues with each other, while the other cast members who are not central to that particular drama at that time are merely background noise like glorified extras. And sure, it's bound to happen but these types of episodes just seem to be getting more and more frequent in the show. It's kind of killed the core cast's personalities abit and the show is losing the essence that made it great; for me at least. But that's just my opinion and I'm just concerned that it's going to become unrecognisable to what it started as before long...

I don't think they're making this show too much about dating or relationships - they still have brilliant episodes like 'Justice League Recombination' and not-so-brilliant episodes like 'Bus Pants Utilization' which are almost exclusively focused on geeky stuff and the dynamics between the core friend group. As for the additional female characters and relationship issues - let's face it, we've been seeing these guys from years, they're going to 'grow up' and have normal lives - nerdy or not. I don't find it inappropriate that the show highlights this aspect more as the time goes on, it's just character development.

I quite liked the Bus pants Utilization personally, apart from how overbearing Sheldon was; but aside from that it was good. The guys will grow of course over time, but it's important to keep that nerdy essence in there.

Hey Incongnito, I have a great sense of humor and you obviously don't understand sarcasm.

I'm hoping we get some L/P scenes for this episode. L/P scenes have been almost non-existent which is a tragedy because they have great romantic chemistry. The few L/P scenes that they have done for Season 4 have been fantastic and hopefully we will get more of them as this season goes. Overall Season 4 has been a disappointment compared to Season 3.

That wasn't sarcasm. That was being flippant and rude. And it's Incognito. If you have a beef with me, take it up in PMs. If not, I suggest we avoid each other on here and not look for opportunities to insult. Sound good? Awesome!

I do think relationships should be the focal point of the show. Originally the focal relationships were the four guys and Penny with the subsets of the Sheldon/Leonard Sheldon/Penny and Penny/Leonard relationships.

I think the issue is that these relationships had to move along or the show could become static and stale. But what has happened is now that Penny & Leonard have had their relationship and Sheldon is in some type of relationship and Howard has Bernadette I do think the group has become more fragmented because of these other relationships. So On that point I would like to see a little return to the core group of interactions between Sheldon, Leonard, Howard, Raj & Penny.

Precisely my wish too (with regards to your final sentence). I'm not saying that I want all relationships out of the show and for them to only talk about comics; merely that they should not forget what the show is about: The close friendship of 4 geniuses and a waitress who lives next door. The core hanging out together always works, they don't even have to try, so I'm with you there. But having the show revolving around relationships... well I could just go and watch Friends or Sex in the City for that.

So did I; it was a bit predictable, but the agreeable feeling of the 'core group dynamics' was there. On the other hand, as BillF63 says, it's also important to have new characters and interactions and changes in a show which might hopefully last 7 or even 10 years! The good thing about it is that the different kinds of episodes (repisodes, Shepisodes :) ) attract different audience sections, so it's good for the show's reach. I'm happy as long as they keep making both kinds.

Yeah was a good one. Sheldon was way too insane there though to the point of annoyance, but as you said, felt nice with the main cast together through-out. I don't mind different episodes, but I just hate to see it being about the same old romance cliches, just like every single other sitcom ever in the history of television and possibly before if they had sitcoms on stage. :icon_lol:

This was a nice episode, I thought, with a lot of laughs and the whole ensemble (old and new characters) working together rather well. The road trip and 'musical-bedrooms' ideas were fresh.

Amy-haters would probably have balked at it though!

My husband SWEARS Penny and Sheldon will end up together at some point in the future. I think it's far-fetched, but he's usually right-on with his predictions.

Join my Facebook campaign to get Memaw on the show!! I don't care if I ever see Howard's mom, but I think a Memaw appearance would be HILARIOUS!! Click on the link above to join the movement!!!
