Not for sex, for convenience. You can’t deny that, by comparison, our internal plumbing is extremely high maintenance.

In what way did she cheapen their relationship?

Do you really think you'll get an answer to these?  They're 2 & 3 years old and those posters are loooong gone.

You probably won't get a response Stephen, they last visited two and a half years ago,  February of 2013.

Lenny weren't in relationship then, so hard to cheapen something that doesn't exist lol. I know this inactive thread. But just rewatched it. Shat on bk in 2010. But its actually one of the shows strongest eps. Start of the show becoming less hot girl four eggheads. And more of an Ensemble. Ppl criticise that, but it was a necessary change.

Have re-watched this episode. Have one question- Why didn't Raj go to Howard's room when Sheldon barged into his instead of to Leonard?  Guess there would not be any comedy in that

Raj going to Howard's room would have been expected. Yes, the most comedy came from him going to Leonard's room.

Because it allowed the writers to show Penny still had enough feelings for Leonard to hook up with him, but she didn't want to get back together with him, yet.  There was a lot of that in season four and early season five, showing them having feeling for each other, but not getting back together.

That makes sense.  But,  they could have got them back together sooner.

Not really.  They had just been renewed for three years when Lorre broke them up, so he was looking at the long term situation.  They got back together in Season Five, but really weren't on solid footing until mid season six.   Lorre was probably looking at ten years at that point.  Live action sitcoms cycle out around ten years, so getting them back together around six would have been about right for ten seasons (their wedding was in season 9). That they got renewed for another two seasons cause the delay in breaking up Sheldon and Leonard.  Writing of a series doesn't happen in a vacuum.   They have to time things as a series approaches the end of it's run.

I'll take your word for it.

Agree with your analysis about Penny and Leonard getting back together. Season six seemed an appropriate time. However, why did they wait until season ten episode four to have Sheldon move across the hall with Amy. When Penny caved in to Sheldon's whining about being alone she said it would only be for a little while but it turned out to be for over a year. Once Shamy moved across the hall to 4B the comedy was just as funny. I guess the absurdity of the three of them living together was the height of comedy?

My basic problem was that when the three of them lived in 4A, it seemed that Penny always sided with Sheldon.
